FOOTBALL: Spot-on Rawmarsh win penalty shoot-out to become Rotherham Schools champions

RAWMARSH Community School won the Rotherham Schools Year 11 final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.

They held their nerve to defeat Aston Academy after their tie at Roundwood on Tuesday night had finished 1-1.

And it was a save from goalkeeper Kyran Lofthouse that secured the trophy and set the celebrations in motion.

Ellis Hazlett netted Rawmarsh's goal in normal time and their penalty scorers were Joshua Walker, Toby Ponte, Lennon Wilson and Jack Sheppard.

Both teams did themselves proud in a keenly contested match worthy of the occasion.
