FOOTBALL: Maltby Main live to fight another day in FA Cup

MALTBY Main will have a second stab at reaching the next stage of the FA Cup after a low-scoring draw at the weekend.

They drew 1-1 with Pinchbeck United, from the United Counties League, at Muglet Lane on Saturday after the pitch had passed a midday inspection.

Miners edged the opening 45 minutes but ended it a goal down to a strike right on half time from Owen Sheriff.

Matthew Ord equalised a minute after the restart to set up the replay in Lincolnshire on Wednesday. (7.45pm), with £1,125 in prizemoney and a place in the premiliminary round on offer for the winners. The draw has handed the victors a trip to either Quorn FC or Carlton Town.
