Family friendly fun at Moorgate Tennis Club
The free Barclays Tennis Big Weekend is next month on August 2.
One of the many benefits of playing tennis is the social and family aspect which can result in making friends for life and the sight of five-year-olds playing on the next court to players moving towards their nineties.

Moorgate's current chairman Mark Busby started out as a playing parent to hit with his two girls Emily and Maddy and now all three of them play regular league tennis at a high level whilst mum Sarah completes the picture in her role as Club Secretary.
Monday night sees Moorgate's weekly American Mixed Tournament, which can accommodate 16 people and is regularly over subscribed with many players using it as a springboard to league tennis.
If you want to give tennis a go, or return to the sport after an absence then come along to the free Barclays Tennis Big Weekend on August 2 which caters for all ages and abilities.
Simply go to the Big Tennis Weekend website and search for Moorgate Tennis Club and then put your name down for any or all of the sessions which run from 10 am to 3pm.
A club spokesperson said: “We look forward to greeting you for a fun day.”
