Evans switches his sights
ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans will try to nail a transfer deadline day signing after hopes of a record-breaking deal fell flat.
It is understood the Millers had been prepared to pay a club record £300,000 plus for their number one target. They had a bid accepted, dependent upon the selling club making a signing of their own, but last night it appeared the deal was unlikely to happen.

Hide AdIt leaves Evans hunting a fresh signing, possibly permanent, before tonight's 11pm deadline.
He also intends extending striker Tom Hitchcock's loan from QPR until the end of the season.
Fifth in League One, the Millers chase a fourth win in five when they take on second-placed Leyton Orient at the New York Stadium tomorrow.
