Evans confirmed as Leeds boss

STEVE Evans has been confirmed as Leeds United's new manager.

The Scot has signed a rolling contract until June, succeeding the sacked Uwe Rosler, and becomes president Massimo Cellino's sixth manager in 18 months.

Evans will come face to face with Rotherham United, the club he led to two successive promotions in a three-and-a-half year spell, when the teams meet at Elland Road on November 21.

Evans parted company with the Millers three weeks ago today.
