England ticket sales near 8,000

NEARLY 8,000 tickets have been sold for this month's England U19s international at the New York Stadium.

Local football lovers have jumped at the chance to see Sean O'Driscoll's in-form young team take on Italy U19s and with a week still to go until next Friday's match, numbers look set to swell still further.

Leading young talents from Premier League and Championship clubs will be turning out and O'Driscoll named his squad this week.
