Eagles ready to fly
SHEFFIELD Eagles play their first match at their temporary home at Brinsworth’s Sheffield Hallamshire University Sports Park tonight.
They take on Halifax (8pm) fresh from an opening-day 42-6 romp at Workington Town in the RFL Championship and are hoping Rotherham RL lovers will go and lend their support.
Temporary stands have been put in to take the capacity to 3,000, meeting RFL requirements.
Eagles expect to move to the new Olympic Legacy Park, on the site of the now demolished Don Valley Stadium, next season.
