Eaden confirmed as new assistant

ROTHERHAM United have brought in Nicky Eaden as assistant manager to Neil Redfearn

The two were team-mates in the Barnsley team which won promotion to the Premier League in the late 1990s. Eaden has been working with Leicester City U21s.

He has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

Redfearn said: "Nicky has played a lot at this level, he understands it. His background is in youth development and that's perfect because we are working with players here and trying to make them better, that was the remit when I came in."

Eaden succeeds Eric Black, who left to take up the number two role at Aston Villa last month, and arrives in time for Saturday's Championship basement battle at Bolton Wanderers.
