But whatever the outcome, the Titans camp insist they will strive to keep their season alive right until the final whistle blows on the last game of the season against Rosslyn Park on April 18.

While Rotherham came agonisingly close to a victory at Cambridge last weekend, the gap to safety stretched to 11 points with news that Moseley had snapped their eight-match losing run with a thumping bonus point win over Cinderford.

Titans coach Steve Salvin told the Advertiser: “This is obviously a really significant game because of who we're playing but win or lose, we will still have 11 games left.

“The way National One is, you don't really know who is going to win a game on any given weekend. We nearly beat Plymouth two weeks ago and they beat the leaders, Richmond, at Richmond. Cambridge, who are sat just above us in the table, are now on a four-game winning streak.

“If we were to win we have the chance to get a little bit of momentum. If we don't get that win then we won't be downing tools. We will keep fighting and we will be doing everything we can to still close that gap.

“We just need a bit of luck or a moment where we just get over the line and get a win and then we can potentially build from there."
