Daley signs for Millers

ROTHERHAM United have signed Bradford City's Omar Daley on loan—and two more new faces could also arrive in time for tomorrow.

Daley (29), a Jamaican international forward, has signed until the end of the season, with experienced winger Kevin Ellison going the other way.

Keen to strengthen his defence, Millers manager Ronnie Moore is today hoping to bring Danny Coid back to the club for a further month from Blackpool, the experienced right-back having enjoyed a successful but injury-hit loan spell before Christmas.

Swindon Town left-back Callum Kennedy is another target the Millers had in their sights last night.

Moore said: "Daley gives us something different. He can play either side or down the middle and he's got electric pace.

"We all know what Coidy can do and I've spoken to Danny Wilson at Swindon and they're willing to let Kennedy out on loan. He's 6ft 1in and he's great on the ball so he would be a good acquisition for us."

Moore expects to name Daley among the substitutes at Oxford United tomorrow where the Millers will be aiming to end a run of four straight away defeats, the latest a 3-1 reverse at Gillingham on Tuesday which nudged them down to fourth in League Two.
