Curtis ready for title shot

CURTIS Woodhouse will fight for the vacant British Light Welterweight crown at Magna next week.

Woodhouse takes on Derby’s Dave Ryan at the Rotherham venue a week tomorrow with the fight having been elevated to a title bout — and promoter Dave Coldwell says the 32-year-old is fit and raring to go.

“He lost last time out but that’s in the past and Curtis just can’t wait to get in the ring and claim the title,” he said.

“Now it has been made into a title bout it has taken on a whole new significance and the interest among fight fans is amazing.“

Rotherham’s Nav Mansouri also fights on the bill but Chad Gaynor has been forced to pull out through illness.
