FANCY becoming a cricket umpire?

There's a Level 1 ACO training course starting on Thursday, October 9 (7.30pm-9.30pm) at Silverwood MW.

Each course last eight weeks and includes a multi-choice test at the end.

Course tutor is Tony Keyworth, acknowledged as one of the best in the business. Last year he had only the second 100 per cent exam result in the county.

Other courses follow early in the new year in Doncaster, Sheffield and another one in Rotherham. Cost is £50.

New umpires are needed to prevent a shortage in 2015 due to retirements.
