Colts look for new blood

SUCCESSFUL Rotherham Colts are looking to build on their exploits of last season—and they want to hear from any prospective new players.

Sam Coy’s side, in their first season back in competitive rugby, finished second in the Yorkshire Colts League and were runners-up in ther Yorkshire Plate.

But their problem is that several players are now to old to qualify for the team.

Said Sam: “We are looking for players as half of last year’s squad have had to move on through age..

“We will keep 12 or so which is a good start, but we do need more.”

The Colts train at Clifton Lane on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meeting at 6.45pm

Players need to be under 19 on September 1.

Experience is not necessary as they are looking to develop players through coaching.
