Codling's delight after Titans' win

ALEX Codling hailed his Rotherham side after Saturday's 20-16 win Championship at Moseley.

Titans had to dig deep to avoid a third successive defeat when they fought off a tenacious assault by the midlanders in the last ten minutes, having earlier eased into a 20-9 lead through Pete Homan's try double and a touchdown from Fergus Mulchrone.

But when Moseley scored their first try in the 70th minute it sparked a serious assault on the Rotherham line which they did well to defend.

Said Codling: "It was a big effort from the lads and we needed that win. There are things to work on but at least we've started the way I wanted."

Titans now play back-to-back British and Irish Cup games against Munster, starting at Clifton lane on Saturday (2pm).
