Codling delighted with response

ALEX Codling was delighted with the way his Rotherham Titans side responded to losing an early 14-0 lead in Saturday’s important clash with Plymouth Albion.

The Lane men looked to be cruising it but lost their way and allowed the Devon side to go 28-21 up in the second period before Rotherham hit back to snatch a 34-31 victory with a late Garry Law penalty.

Said Codling: “The key thing was how we reacted from the soft turnover try we gave them early in the second half.

“It knocked the wind out of us for a while, but we came back strongly and you have to give credit to the boys for that.”

Titans now switch their attentions to Sunday’s toughie at Bristol but the five points from Saturday’s win should mean they will stay clear of the relegation squabble.
