Chance to try netball

DVC Sports, based on the campus at Dearne Valley College, are hosting the sessions for 8-11 year-olds, giving them the opportunity to be introduced to the game and play in a team.

Coach Mandy Fuller leads the free sessions on Thursday, September 23 and Thursday, September 30 from 4p-5pm, involving ball control, co-ordination, positioning, shooting, balance, fitness, netball tactics and techniques and team work.

Shaun Woodward, DVC Sports susiness and pPartnership development officer, said:

"The free sessions will give children an excellent insight into the game through developing their skills and knowledge whilst learning from experienced coaches."

Children can attend one of the free sessions with places limited to 35 per session on a first come, first serve basis.

Participants will need to take with them a change of comfortable kit, trainers and a drink.
