LOCAL football archivists are seeking the truth behind a “missing” cup final result.
It is the prestigious Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Cup and centres on the 1947 final when Thurcroft Welfare were due to play Dinnington MW.
No winner is listed in the County FA records and local football historian Chris Eyre is hoping someone can come up with an answer regarding this particular final.
