Big demand for Women’s Euro tickets ahead of ballot application window closing tonight

THE ticket ballot for the 2022 Women's Euros football tournament closes at 6pm today — with more than 200,000 tickets already applied for.

Rotherham United's AESSEAL New York Stadium is to host three group games and a quarter-final at the big event next summer, taking in Group D encounters France v Italy (Sunday July 10), Italy v Iceland (Thursday July 14) and Iceland v France (Monday July 18.)

Fans are urged not to apply now.

Alex Scott, UEFA Women's EURO 2022 Board Member said: "There are loads of sporting moments I wish I could've been at, such as Usain Bolt's first gold in Beijing or Emma Raducanu winning the US Open. This could be one of those history-making moments and tournaments, so we need to make sure people don't miss out."
