Bester won't rush into new signings

TITANS are looking to bring in at least two new players — but only if the quality is right.

Despite looking a solid unit in Sunday’s 38-38 draw at home to powerful Bedford, coach Andre Bester has identified weaknesses in the squad and has begun a hunt for a new back rower and a new back.

But, he says, there will be no rush to make signings.

“There are gaps in the squad that need to be plugged but we have to find the right players and it won’t just be a case of making quick signings,” he said.

“We know what positions we need to cover and when we do it will give us that extra strength that we need.

“But I’m happy with the way things are looking. There were plenty of good things to come out of our opening two games and the squad is strong enough to cope with our rotation plans."
