Bester: We showed great character

ANDRE Bester was delighted with the character shown by the Titans as they dug out an unlikely point at Nottingham—and now he wan’t that commitment to continue.

Rotherham came back from 27-9 to draw 30-30 at Meadow Lane with two tries from wing Shane Monahan and one from Semisi Taulava.

Said Bester: “We showed a lot of character once again, but in the first half we again shot ourselves in the foot like we did against Bedford.

“We gave them opportunities, we gave them tries and made it nearly impossible for ourselves, but there’s so much character and determination in this squad of players and these people want to achieve something."

Titans now prepare for Saturday’s home game against Esher with Bester expected to rotate several players.
