Bester: We have to step it up

HARD-TASKMASTER Andre Bester will take his Titans team into tomorrow’s mammoth game at Worcester saying: “We might have won two games but we’re still not playing well.”

Rotherham have triumphed  their first two Championship matches against two sides fancied to be up there at the end of the season, starting with victory at Bristol and then pulling off a stunning last-gasp win against Bedford last Sunday.

That sets up a battle between  two of the unbeaten teams in the division, with Bester expecting his new-look outfit to be put under the cosh from the start at the newly relegated Sixways club.

He said: “We aren’t playing well at the moment. We are getting individual performances but we aren’t gelling as a team and that’s what matters.

“I’ve told the players to look at the other top sides in the world in club rugby and look at how they build a winning formula. That’s what we want to replicate here and I know it will come in time."
