Bester takes cautious approach

TITANS coach Andre Bester has played down Saturday's sensational 44-6 win over leaders Bristol, saying: "It's what happens at the end of the season that matters."

Rotherham turned in a magnificent performance, especially in the second half, to rip the table toppers to shreds in front of over 2,000 fans at Clifton Lane.

It was a result which will send massive shock waves throughout the Championship, espeiclally with the Titans having already clubbed previous leaders London Welsh and Bedford.

Said Bester: "It was a good performance but we did make a few mistakes which we will try to put right for this weekend's trip to Cornish Pirates.

"Of course we're happy to beat Bristol but this season is all about what happens in the play-offs. A result like this won't matter when it comes to the last few games of the year."

But despite his cautious approach, Rotherham put in their best display for years as tries came from Pale Nonu, Robin Copeland and a Shane Monahan double.
