Bedford game will be a big test: Bester

TITANS boss Andre Bester will use tomorrow’s game at rivals Bedford as a litmus test of their promotion capability.

The Clifton Lane men head to Goldington Road to afce a Blues side currently third in the Championship but who will provide one of the stiffest tests of the season on the road.

And with Rotherham having lost their last two away league matches, at Cornish Pirates and Leeds, Bester says tomorrow gives his side a chance to lay down a marker.

“It’s a game which will prove whether we can play successfully against the top sides when we head into the play-offs—or it will tell us that we’ve still a long way to go,” said Bester.

“It was disappointing to lose at Pirates and Leeds but at least we know why and we have tried to put those things right.

“We haven’t got the best defensive record in the league by luck—and that’s after giving away a few soft tries at the start of the season—and we have to keep that up.
