Be natural, Ronnie urges Millers

ROTHERHAM United manager Ronnie Moore will tell his players to go out and play their natural game against League Two hot shots Notts County tomorrow.

Separated only on goal difference, second-place County and the third-placed Millers clash in the division's match of the day at Meadow Lane.

Aware of the big-spending Magpies' goal threat, Moore might have been tempted to go and play for a point against a side who have enjoyed a resurgence in form under new boss Steve Cotterill.

But while he admits he'd be content with a draw tomorrow, the Rotherham chief reckons County can be got at.

He said: "We'd be playing to their strengths if we went there and played negatively.

"We need to defend well as a team, but I believe that if you can get at their back four then they are not particularly good.

"We've played 4-4-2 nearly all season and when we've changed it we've been poor. I won't be changing things too much."

Moore reported that right-back Dale Tonge was out for the season with a toe injury.

Another casualty, Stephen Brogan, is on his way back after playing in a private friendly against Mansfield this week.

At the time of writing, Moore was trying to extend Josh Walker's one-month loan spell from Middlesborough which is due to expire this weekend.

Kick-off is 3pm.
