Barmby signs in

The Millers completed their first piece of January transfer business yesterday with the loan signing of the 20-year-old from LeIcester.

The son of former England international Nick Barmby, the newcomer trained with his new team-mates yesterday and is another to have progressed through the youth ranks at Manchester United, where he was a teammate of former loanee Tom Lawrence. Like him, he can play up front or out wide.

Evans said: “Jack is a great player. He's had a good grounding at Manchester United and our supporters won't need me to tell them how good he is.”

Barmby joined Leicester last summer and has been capped at youth level for England from schoolboys through to the U19s.
