ROTHERHAM Sunday League side Joker are heading to Liverpool to play in the quarter-finals of the FA Sunday Cup.

The local champions have been drawn away for Mayfair FC in the last eight of the national competition on February 17, having despatched another Liverpool team, two-times winners Oyster Martyrs, in their last-16 tie at Maltby on Sunday.

Joker won an absorbing contest 1-0 after extra time, the decider scored in the 110th minute by Josh Nodder.

Mayfair went through 9-8 in a penalty shootout against Black Horse, from Redditch.

Manager Andy Battersby said: "The lads are buzzing. The Liverpool teams have always dominated this competition but we've despatched two of them so far so hopefully Mayfair will have plenty to worry about when they realise it's us."

The quarter-finals are the last round before a switch to neutral venues in the semi-finals. The venue for the final will be decided when the two finalists are known.
