Arnason swaps Millers for Malmo FF

ROTHERHAM United defender Kari Arnason has today left the club to join Swedish outfit Malmo FF for an undisclosed fee.

The Icelandic international made over 100 appearances for the Millers during his three seasons with the club after joining from Aberdeen in 2012.

He was part of the side that won successive promotions from League Two and then League One playing the majority of his games in the heart of defence with recently departed skipper Craig Morgan.

Last season Arnason moved to a more advanced position in the centre of midfield as Steve Evans’ side secured their Championship status.

The 32-year-old has been capped 38 times for his national side, scoring twice and became a firm fans favourite during his time at the New York Stadium.
