ANGLING: A resounding success for charity and angling enthusiasts

A total of £2587.99 was raised for the nominated charity, the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

The day also included a barbeque and a raffle.

The match itself was split between the Main and Riverside Lakes with an angler from each pair fishing each lake.

Each lake was run as a separate match and the result of the winning pair was decided on the points accrued by each pair.

The winning pair were Chris Roberts and Ben Fox with a total of four points. Chris also had the highest weight on the Main Lake with a near record breaking 135lbs 7ozs.

Steve Newsome was second with 131lbs 11ozs and Brandon Denton third with 88lbs 7ozs. Liam Levitt was

the winner on the Riverside Lake with 129lbs 9ozs with Jamie Lovitt second with 67lbs and Ben fox third with 26lbs 7ozs.
