Agony to ecstacy for Garry!

PENALTY hero Garry Law admitted it was a case of from agony to ecstacy as he struck Saturday’s winning penalty at Castle Park.

The Scottish A international had suffered a torrid afternoon with the strong wind blowing the ball all over the park, including dumping it frustratingly off the tee as a ran up to take a second half conversion.

And he thought the breeze had struck again in their pressure-packed eighth minute of added time when his last-gasp penalty attempt seemed to be drifting well wide of the uprights.

He told the Advertiser: “When I kicked it I knew the wind was strong. I thought I’d kicked it too far to the left and it looked miles off line.

“I thought how embarrasing that would be on national TV but then it just took off!
