Adam chases world youth slot
ROTHERHAM pole vaulter Adam Hague continued his flying form when he won the U17 crown at the National Indoor Championships in Birmingham — and he’s now hoping to be chosen for the plum forthcoming World Youth Championships.
At the National Indoor Arena, he made it three titles in a row after vaulting a huge 4.70 metres to win.
Adam topped off a fantastic week having earlier vaulted a new personal best of 4.85m, which puts him comfortably at the top of the U17 rankings and makes him third national all-time U17.
It also means he has achieved the qualifying height of 4.80m for the Youth Championships this summer in the Ukraine.
