Unwarranted attack
Sir, I read with interest Cllr Jepson's comments in last week's Advertiser (January 14) in which he takes to task Mr Beck for his comments and views, regarding, I quote: "Councillors who do not live in the ward they represent."

Hide AdGuess what? Cllr Jepson stood for election last year in the Anston and Woodsetts ward, Cllr Jepson lives in Dinnington.
The kettle calling the pot black comes to mind. He goes on further to yet again "attack" RMBC Cllr Hughes, (which seems to be a bit of an obsession) and points out that Cllr Hughes does not live in Anston.
Interestingly, he makes no mention of the two other RMBC councillors, Cllr St John and Cllr Burton, who live in Dinnington and Woodsetts respectivley.

Hide AdHere are some facts for the good folk of the parish of Anston, All our RMBC Cllrs live outside the parish.
Cllr Dalton, our new prospective councillor for Anston and Woodsetts, if elected, also lives outside the parish.
Five of our parish councillors live outside the parish. This probably accounts for the frivolous way (in my opinion) in which our precept is spent.

Hide AdGuess what again? Cllr Jepson was also one of the councillors who voted against the precept reduction of £10,000, but there again he lives in Dinnington so it won't affect him.
Cllr Jepson's attack on Mr Beck is misplaced. He should be concentrating his efforts for the people he represent in Anston, not Wales. To paraphase his comments, "is it a case that Mr Jepson's local rule only applies when it suits?.
