The 4,300 people of Tinsley have been campaigning for the last four years against the odours produced by this autoclave facility. Enviromental health have been swamped by complaints and had a continuous investigation ongoing into the process and its effect on air quality.

Business around the plant had complained. When the plant was granted permission to operate Rotherham Council deemed Meadowbank Road to be the closest housing.

Despite all this controversy Karl Battersby’s department sanctioned increase after increase of waste to be stored and processed regardless.

While it is regretted of the job losses please be ensured any future purchaser should be aware of the feelings of opposition.
