Spy camera critics 'council-bashing'

I WAS astonished to read some of the letters referring to the council’s proposals to use CCTV to enforce illegal, unsafe parking outside schools.

Presumably the letters voicing disapproval of the proposals were from people who don’t have kids or have never witnessed the moronic parking habits of some selfish drivers who obviously consider their time to be more valuable than anyone else’s.

These people clearly didn’t read the article which was printed the week before. I am sure it said that funding was being sought from an external fund.

This surely means that the children of Rotherham will be safer during their journeys to school at no cost to the council tax payers of the borough. It appears that these letters were just “council bashing” for the sake of it.
