Rotherham students celebrate top university offers


Four offers have been received from Oxbridge colleges — conditional on the students’ acceptance of the offer and their achievement of specified results in the summer.
The students set for a spot at Oxford are maths hopeful Ihtisham Rauf — with eyes on a spot at Lady Margaret Hall — William Carr, who wants to read biomedical sciences at St Hilda's College, and Emily Green, who is shooting for a biochemistry place at Magdalen College.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Daniel Worrall has opted for maths at Churchill College, Cambridge.
The college has now received 51 Oxbridge offers in the past ten years.
Principal Dr Richard Williams said: “The students have, in the face of exceptionally tough competition for places, opened up exciting opportunities for themselves with these and the other offers they are considering.
“They and their peers are following in a long line of TRC students going on to higher level study.
