Potholes out of control

THE state of our roads in Rotherham is getting worse.

I drive on these roads for a living, and most roads when driving feel like driving on cobbled streets from years gone by. There are potholes all over the place, and this does severe damage to cars that are using these roads.

Has the council/Streetpride got any idea of how bad the roads are getting? Do they have any plans of repairing/resurfacing the roads correctly as opposed to just putting a shovel of tarmac in the pot hole, and just patting it down with it?

I know there are budget cuts at the moment, but our roads have deteriorated rapidly over the past few years due to lack of maintainance.

I think it’s time for the council to go cap in hand to the Government and ask for some extra funding, because the state of the road surfaces are getting out of control.
