Poor state of the worst road in the ward

THERE has been some correspondence about the very poor state of the road surface on Beaconsfield Road, which has the effect of slowing drivers down.

I have met Cllr Mahroof Hussain and Stephen Finlay of Rotherham Council on site and I know that Cllr Hussain is deeply embarrassed by the poor state of this road describing  it as ‘the worst road in his ward’.

It seems ironic that the council is now paying for speed reduction measures on nearby Ledsham Road.

I wonder where the council’s priorities are?
