Plea to employers

Sir, Can someone please tell me what is wrong with employers nowadays. My son applied for a job with a well known local call centre employer recently.

He duly sent in his CV etc and was called for interview. He came home and told his wife he thought he had had a very good interview and was really hopeful of getting the job.

He received a phone call later that day to say that although he had a good inteview, he did not have enough current experience.

He has worked in a call Ccntre before 5 years ago doing the same kind of work and this was made plain on his CV which begs the question, if they had read his CV they would have known that his experience was not current.

Anyway, everyone knows that there is always a period of training before people are taken on permanently, so I cannot see what the problem was.

As you can imagine, it was very frustrating for my son who is trying his hardest to find work to maintain himself and his family. Please employers, think about what you are doing before you build people's hopes up.
