LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Worse off if you work
IT’S nice to see the Ukraine families at Gulliver’s theme park but when are they going to do it for the children in Rotherham whose parents don’t have a voice because they go to work every day?
They bring home just enough money to survive and if you think that a day at a theme park is something that families take for granted, what planet are you on?
The Gulliver’s theme park is a fantastic place but I would bet in a class of 30 children who you asked had ever been only one would have, unless of course you are on UC, get free school meals and then you get everything.
The lesson to this story is don’t get up every morning and go to work because you will be worse off even at retirement.
