LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Refugee plan moral disgrace

THE Right Honourable Robert Jenrick MP raised a question at Prime Minister’s Questions about his constituent being handcuffed and mistreated by the Russian forces.

I along with many other right minded people deplore this mistreatment.

When Baha Mousa, a hotel receptionist in the Republic of Iraq, was beaten to death he was left with 95 bodily injuries, his face was subject to significant trauma and he’d obviously suffered at the end of his life.

Advocating a refugee scheme that is available for a majority white face country flies in the face of every moral value.

Would Baha Mousa have been sent to Rwanda? As a young man he would have been — don’t young men deserve asylum too?

This callous and degrading scheme to section off black/brown from white is vile.

The people who have designed this aren’t fit to walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela.
