LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Pub part of Brinsworth

I WOULD like to point out a number of inaccuracies regarding the comments in your article about the Stop Inn.

I am 67 years of age and have lived in Brinsworth for the last 35 years. I have frequented The Stop Inn Time since it opened and was something that the village had been crying out for. It has always been a very friendly and welcoming place and has a strict no music and no swearing policy which is strongly policed.

Walking past the shops numerous times in summer, music was blasting out from the flats above which had their windows open (horrendous noise?) and had absolutely nothing to do with The Stop Inn Time.

The outside area was created for social distancing during Covid, now it is there due to customer demand and is where people with dogs choose to sit.

The owner has always invested in Brinsworth’s youth by creating employment for them.

He gave my daughter a job when she was struggling mentally which helped her massively. It is a haven for single and lonely people, also it is dog friendly.

Most of your information is unproven. The only noise that comes from that area is the sound of people enjoying themselves.

After the worst two years in a generation and the state of the country at the moment, who would want to deny them that?

The Stop Inn Time has become part of Brinsworth and it should be kept that way.
