LETTER TO THE EDITOR: An Owl with no humility

I SEE my letter was received well by an Owls fan, pity he didn’t read it well.

I wasn’t crying about the players going down a division, I wished them well, no sour grapes from me.

I did say we have been the better club for the last 25 years, fact, but obviously he had to go back further than that for any success, so who’s eating the sour grapes HB?

Of course you are a big city club with an excellent history but I was on about the last 25 years which is a lifetime for some growing up watching Wednesday for 25 years with nothing. But hey, you are massive with a massive following apart from a ground which you don’t own, and a massive chip on your arrogant shoulders because teeny Toytown are better than you at this moment in time.

If and when you ever get back to your famous exploits like winning the League Cup or finishing third in the Premier League I’m sure you can just put these last 25 years down as a teeny blip or delete it from your memory instead of just admitting that we are a better run club and a better team at this time.

I won’t hold my breath though, it’s so called fans like you that give Wednesday a bad name.

I have friends who support the Owls who are not arrogant and see life how it actually is, so why don’t you grow up and get the chip off your shoulder?

I’ve no doubt your club if properly run will one day get back to the Premier League but meanwhile, for God’s sake, show a bit of humility.
