Judy works hard for village

IN response to the two letters regarding Cllr Judy Dalton, I would like to say that I believe that she works hard for our village and is involved in many activities. Cllr Dalton produces the Anston Festival Day each year and is involved with the skate park

I have attended some of these parish council meetings which are completely dominated by the councillor mentioned in the letters and some members of the public who are rude and disruptive. It is a shame that councillors can’t get on with working for the parish because they have to deal with this unpleasant and unruly element.

It is also a shame that members of this unpleasant clique have nothing positive to say about the good things that are organised by our well-meaning councillors and are conspicuous by their absence from most events. I certainly don’t go any more because of the atmosphere of unpleasantness, and friends who attend meetings in the adjoining room often have to apologise to their speakers because of the rowdiness of the parish council meeting.

I think the parish council is doing a great job under difficult circumstances, and believe the purchase of Rackford Meadows, which by the way ‘Mr Dinnington Resident, is not adjacent to the playing field or cricket pitch, but is on Rackford Road, was a good thing to do in protecting the land for the amenity use of Anston residents.
