Hoping for a spring change

Sir-- It will soon be May, a time for bluebells, hawthorn blossom and voting for our choice of councillors.

However, I can’t understand where the candidates stand on what I believe to be the most important decision for our region, which is the biggest population growth in the last 100 years, the LDF and the taking of our food producing green fields.

Where do our local council candidates stand on this issue or is it a case of ‘Vote us in and then we will do whatever we want’?

I, like thousands more, read the Advertiser weekly and yet no mention of the LDF for months. Let us hope common sense has brought a turn around.

John Green, Scrooby Street, Greasborough.
