Here we go again

WHEN Scott was appointed Millers' manager, many on this side of the turnstiles could see his CV deficiencies and here we go again.

Take a long look at Evans' football history, it's even more clear cut. A Scottish lower division player. Guided two different conference teams to full league status. (It is not uncommon for a non league team to do well in its first season up).

A tax fraud conviction. Boston fined £100k over the issue and the club docked league points and he was suspended for 20 months. (this information is available on the BBC sport website for viewing).

Crawley are on FA discipline charges for the Bradford fighting disgrace. Is Evans is really bringing the right attitude and football CV with him?

Against him were some proven ex-Premiership and Championship managers and Mark Robins - a top player and a quiet, astute manager, who proved excellent in his short time here with John Breckin.

The pair kept the club going in difficult times and they had the team playing the best football seen for years, MR's credentials and track record spoke for itself. The track record of Evans does likewise, for all the wrong reasons.

I hope the venture of the new stadium brings in lots of money. It better had, because the football side will surely not do so for the time being.
