Finance idea

Sir - As you will be aware, Barnsley Council some weeks ago introduced on-the-spot fines for using foul language in the town centre.

I'm amazed that our fearless leaders on Rotherham Council haven't introduced this here.

After all, on a trip to the Jeremy Kyle holding pen, formerly known as the Rotherham town centre, it's obvious that hardly anyone (those that can speak English that is) is able to put together two sentences without every other word beginning with "F," B," or "C" and the men are just as bad.

Do our greatly loved councillors not realise how much revenue this would raise?

Think of the essential fact finding trips to such places as the Caribbean, The Seychelles or even Tahiti.

This money would fund numerous lavish banquets that are so essential these days.

I would though like to thank the council for the landscaped gardens that now occupy the space once taken up by the municipal buildings that housed several old established businesses.

After all, its only right and proper that the winos and financial migrants (asylum seekers) have lovely surroundings in which to count their benefits and hurl abuse at each other and passers by.

Thank you to the voters of Rotherham for another five years of such fantastic ideas and management of the local economy.
