DVD memories of Caley Burns Supper
He very graciously allowed me to take copies of the film of the function. My son David had it converted from a video into a DVD. I then got in touch with a dear old ‘Geordie’ friend in Maltby, Eddie Cocoran. He readily agreed to make copies for me. At first we settled on two dozen copies, this went into a second run which then made it three dozen copies and we were forced by public demand in Maltby to have another dozen made.
This letter is to say thank you to Peter for keeping the video all those years and allowing me to copy from it. And thank you to Eddie, who made the four dozen copies for free. Also the response; it’s a big thank you to all the people who phoned me to say thanks for all the memories that are on the DVD. I spent virtually hours on the phone talking about our Maltby (when the pit belonged to us) and of course the Caledonian Club Maltby. These calls really proved that in its heyday, the Caley was one of the best run family clubs in the North of England.

Altogether the recording is over three hours long. May I also mention, that I still have a few copies of the book that I wrote, A Shaft Full Of Shadows. Anybody who wishes to have a free copy of the DVD, or to buy a copy of the book, then please ring 01709 819042
