Does anyone know about Austin?

On April 20 1952 the Rotherham Advertiser published an article about a man called Austin Cartwright who died of a heart attack whilst working for Rotherham Council as a nightwatchman. We have traced a bit about him and now have a picture of Austin but was hoping someone might know more of his earlier life.

He lived in Sherwood Crescent in 1950. Please let me know if you can help me find out more.
