The message conveyed by the peaceful Anti-EDL demonstration was simple and clear; Rotherham is a thriving community which celebrates a diverse and proud community. Christians, Muslims, teenagers, pensioners and people from all backgrounds joined for one afternoon. There was music, laughter, singing and even dancing in the town centre. If that doesn’t inspire confidence in the strength of a community (despite difficulties) I don’t know what will.
