Big price of lollipop ladies

DRIVING to work in a morning and seeing two lollipop ladies on the cross road crossing on Bawtry Road near the King Henry pub baffles me. Why waste tax payers’ money when there are traffic lights with crossings?

I have seen this all over Rotherham. In Greasbrough there are another two lollipop ladies on zebra crossings when clearly they should be further up the road near Wingfield School.

Surely the money could be used for better purposes like youth clubs, after school clubs and even towards staff in the classrooms helping children. I know children’s safety is paramount but I feel this is a waste of money.
