A pothole of your own

Sir - I'm thinking of starting a charity: "sponsor a pothole."

Near all of us are roads with potholes that have been unloved, unattended and uncared for for over 20 years.

We cannot expect central government to help because they have a Euro zone to bail out as well as pouring money into off shore accounts of African dictators.

Local government can't be expected to deal with them as they have essential fact finding tours, lavish banquets and numerous financial migrant (asylum seekers) services to provide.

Donors will receive a photo of their pothole, a Christmas card each year along with regular updates as it grows and spawns more smaller potholes around it.

Within a few years our roads may be up to the standard of a third world country so I ask your readers to donate generously!
